Spring Hill

Spring Hill Florida is a fast growing, beautiful city in Hernando County on the coast of West Central Florida. The population of Spring Hill in July 2007 was 88,859 (47.2% male and 52.8% female) and the median resident age was 47.9 years.

One of the most famous attractions in Spring Hill is Weeki Wachee Springs and the Weeki Wachee live mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.

The mermaids have been providing underwater entertainment here since 1947.

The Hernando Heritage Museum is located in nearby Brooksville, the home of the Brooksville Raid, the largest Florida civil war reenactment which takes place in January.

This beautiful museum is located in a four story, Antebellum home which was built in 1856 and the house is decorated in a Victorian era and Civil War theme. Over 10,000 artifacts are on display and guided tours are available

The Hernando Symphony Orchestra is an all volunteer, 63 piece community orchestra that performs a varied repertoire of music such as classical, popular music, operas, and Broadway show tunes throughout their season.
